Crafting items is still as pivotal in this game as in any battle royale, but comes with the price of leaving a trace. An outline of a player can also be seen if they stay in one area long enough, eliminating the possibility for a camper to come out successful, and generating constant movement. Due to the snowy environment, players always leave footprints as they traverse the map. This battle royale differs from the PUBG and Fortnite due to the fact that players can actively track the movement of their competitors at any time. In addition to the usual player, the game will contain a “show director” who watches over each match, and can intervene anytime they see fit. Players will be dropped into a snowy arena where they must rely on the game’s social features to come out alive. Darwin Project is a ten-player battle royale by Scavengers Studio that has just arrived on Steam Early Access.
